ahaha this is such a cute character

I wanna see them

BEAT UP (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

BLOODY (o ‿ o ✿)

AND BROKEN (O ‿ O✿)

are you Moffat

I said I wanted to see them beat up, bloody, and broken, not be victims of shoestring storylines riddled with plot holes and shoddily executed twists.

I like Moffat. That is, I did like him. His episode “The Empty Child” is and will always be my favourite episode of all time. “Blink” was stunning, and “The Girl In the Fireplace” was fantastic too. However, it seems that his writing abilities have gotten slack from series 5-7.
Moffat seemed to model his episodes on Matt Smith’s physical comedy. In the program that’s just been on, Matt even said that he wanted to bring a physical element to the role, so I suppose that Moffat started to write for that aspect. However, it got too goofy, too childish, and so his writing started to go to extremes - from extremely childish (fish fingers and custard) to extremely dark (the Ponds’ departure).
Many people (mainly my parents and my IRL friends) say that Doctor Who is rubbish now. I’m not disputing that at all! It is indeed rubbish! The storylines are strange and a mixture of light and dark. The writing is poor and shallow, and the hidden message that made RTD’s DW so powerful (Bad Wolf, vote Saxon, something on your back) is now blunt and in your face (doctor who? doctor who? doctor who? doctor who?!?!?!?).
I never condone hate. Never ever. Hate to a writer is fire to a thatched roof. Eventually it gets to you and makes you collapse. Even the sturdiest of roofs will fall with too much fire. Trust me, it happens. So I never send or justify hate. No-one, not even Moffat, deserves to be sent hate. But I can see why people do it.
Moffat was my writing hero. “The Empty Child” and “Blink” were masterpieces. But it seems to me that being in control of a whole show, and having a big ol’ storyline, has sort of gone to his head, and he’s not sure of how to appeal to a wide audience. RTD wasn’t perfect, but Moffat is far from it.

I JUST HAD THIS IDEA AND I SHOULD BE IN BED BUT LISTEN LISTEN

The Reaper stretched, yawning, its huge brown wings flapping lazily as he woke up.

"Bob?" his friend asked. "What’s up?"

"Dunno." the Reaper, Bob, replied. "It’s like… a disturbance."

A few more Reapers woke up, feeling the same pull that Bob did. The friend stood up properly. “Where?”

"…Earth."

The crowd of woken Reapers groaned.

"For Death’s sake!" one of them snapped. "Bloody Doctor is at it again!"

"Calm down, Maude." Bob sighed. "Let’s just go take a look. If it’s a little paradox, like that incident with the Tyler child, we’ll leave it. If it’s something like the Statue of Liberty coming to life, we’ll do something about it."

The crowd of Reapers sniggered, making their way over to Earth. Statue of Liberty! As if something like that could ever-

Bob’s jaw dropped. “Son of a demon.”

"Bloody Doctor." muttered Maude.

Can i just tell you all never to reblog this picture if it appears on your dash.
Do not respect the life ruin-er!

Excuse me, but what the fuck? Moffat deserves the same respect that every other person deserves. Yes, he’s written a few episodes that make you cry. That does NOT warrant a hate post, or sending hate mail to him. He’s a talented writer, he obviously loves his family - he is a decent human being, which is a lot more than I can say for some people on this website.
If you don’t like his writing, don’t watch the episodes. Simple as that. You don’t make hate posts. You don’t tell people what to do. You respect people and you admire their talent. They have the guts to do something that changes lives - writing. I’d like to see you write a heart-wrenching, amazing series that causes millions of people to go bat-shit crazy over the internet.
